What is Cristiano Ronaldo's injury?
During Al Nassr's tour of China in late January, Ronaldo suffered a calf injury. The complaint ruled him out of proposed friendly matches against Shanghai Shenhua and Zhejiang, leading to both those games being postponed.
Luis Castro’s squad then returned to Saudi Arabia for a showpiece match against Inter Miami, part of Riyadh Season and billed as a “Last Dance” between Ronaldo and his old rival Lionel Messi.
However, Ronaldo’s injury meant he was forced to watch from the stands as his colleagues ran riot in a 6-0 win. Messi was nursing a fitness issue of his own and only played for the final six minutes.
The following week, Al Nassr concluded the Riyadh Season Cup with a 2-0 defeat to domestic rivals Al Hilal.
Although he was unable to avert the loss, Ronaldo played the 90 minutes and picked up a yellow card for his troubles.
