Tuesday's Football Tips: PSV Switched On to Beat Borussia at Phillips Stadion

PSV are absolutely flying this season and remain unbeaten at the top of the Dutch Eredivise after 22 matches (W20 D2). Arsenal are the only team to have beaten them in Europe this season and they’ll be right up for the visit of Borussia Dortmund this evening.

BVB are fourth in the German Bundesliga, 17 points off pace-setters Bayer Leverkusen, but they topped the toughest of all groups in the Champions League, finishing above PSG, AC Milan and Newcastle.

Having come so close to toppling Bayern Munich in the league last term they’re now looking to European competition to save this season. They’re unbeaten in eight but look defensively vulnerable.

The Germans are favourites to qualify at 3/4 with PSV at even money but its the Dutchmen, who are unbeaten at the Phillips Stadion, that are 23/20 to claim a first leg lead.

The night’s other match sees Inter Milan welcome Atletico Madrid to the San Siro.

Nerazzurri are way out in front in Serie A, nine points clear of nearest rivals Juventus and unbeaten in 18 in the league, since back in September.

They were edged out of top spot on goal difference in Group D by La Liga side Real Sociedad but look well placed to get the better of Atletico over two legs at 1/2.

Atleti were held to draws at Lazio and Celtic in the group stages and have won just four on the road in La Liga (W4 D2 L6)s o haven’t traveled well this season. That all points to a home win tonight at 3/4.

City dropped two points at home to Chelsea at the weekend but won’t make the same mistake again tonight against Brentford.

Erlin Haaland was guilty of giving up some gilt-edge chances so he’ll be determined to make amends and is 2/1 to score a brace or better.
