Pistons vs. Clippers: Are Simone Fontecchio and new cast playing today?

The Detroit Pistons revamped their roster at the trade deadline, sending out six players and taking back six new faces.

The Bojan Bogdanovic, Alec Burks, Killian Hayes and Monte Morris eras are over in Detroit and fans are excited to see what Simone Fontecchio, Grentin Grimes, et al. can bring to the new-look roster.

We've looked at some possible depth chart options for Monty Williams, but for now, he will be limited, as several of the players are still not eligible under pending trade status.

That could change before the game if physicals are completed and signed off on, so check the official injury report before the game for the latest update.

The Pistons only had seven regulars suited up for their last game, so they can use some of the reinforcements they acquired at the trade deadline.

Let's start with the players we know are out. Isaiah Stewart remains on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Malachi Flynn, Evan Fournier and Quentin Grimes have been ruled out for today's game, with a status of "trade pending."

Both Troy Brown Jr. and Shake Milton have been upgraded to questionable with pending trade status, so could make their debuts for the Pistons today.

Cade Cunningham and Ausar Thompson are both listed as probable.

One name that is not on the list is newly acquired forward Simone Fontecchio, who should make his debut today, as his trade has already been approved by the league.

So the Detroit Pistons will have a few new bodies today, but we will likely have to wait until Tuesday's game with the Lakers to see the new roster in its entirety.

The Clippers have been hot, winning eight of their last 10, but they did lose their last game against New Orleans. The Pistons played a surprisingly close game against the Clippers in early February, but seven of the Pistons players from that game are no longer on the team.

Detroit showed some guts in their overtime win over Portland, so it will be interesting to see if they can ride the momentum of their first two-game winning streak since October even with a new cast of players.
